“ I LOVE THIS PLACE. I sooooo wish this was closer to my house, this would be my absolute regular watering hole. It's not in a strip mall. You turn right off a road into the parking lot. You walk into a nice dark BAR. Nice BIG U-shaped bar. Lo, what's this to my immediate right? Two pool tables! Plus one of those supplemental bar top tables running the length, and nicely closing off the pool area from booths and tables. Take a seat at the bar. There's a couple of TV screens if you're interested but they are not everywhere you turn. What are these numbers on the one in the middle? It's KENO! Oh, I can see the Keno machine, it's right next to the jukebox which is cranking out hit after hit of the 70s! I'm loving it! Hey there's ginormous platters of food available for cheap! The decor is just exactly what a BAR should have, no more, no less, nothing pretentious. No themes. Stroll on back to the bathroom which is also just exactly what a bar bathroom should look like. (I speak of the ladies'.). That may sound silly but just one more selling point for me. Did you notice that neat little stage? Plenty of room for live entertainment all the way at the back, where you could dance if you want and not be in the way of the folks at the bar or the tables. And there's the doorway to the little outside patio! My Mom lives nearby which is what has brought me to Jen's from time to time. Think I will be visiting her more often. I have one more litmus test which I plan to perform next week at this time and will report back. (Leaving you in suspense till then......). Everything about this place is just what a good bar should be. ”
